I have done biomagnetism treatments every few months for a year and a half. According to usbiomag.com, biomagnetism is an internationally practiced health approach that strives to attain bio-energetic balance in the human body; the state of natural health known as “homeostasis”. It involves the precise and proper (North/South polarity) placement of special high field strength magnets over very specific areas of the body, to support regulation of pH in these very areas. By maintaining adequate pH, homeostasis may be reestablished so that the body can heal itself. This therapy stimulates normal immune system function, increases circulation and oxygenation, normalizes response to inflammation and has many more positive effects on our bodies. It is believed that pH imbalances may ultimately accumulate and combine to allow the development of symptoms, syndromes and other health conditions in our bodies.
My doctor (Dr. Garcia) would start the appointment by asking about my symptoms, and then would muscle test me for a variety of viruses, bacteria, parasites, etc. (Muscle testing, or applied kinesiology, is a technique in which the practitioner asks your subconscious mind questions in order to diagnose and treat you- it sounds pretty wacky but it helped me so much!) Then, based on the results, he would place pairs of magnets on my body (a pair for each imbalance.) He would do more muscle testing with the magnets on, and then I would lie there for about 15 minutes before the magnets were removed. The entire session would take 1.5-2 hours.
It was amazing what Dr. Garcia could figure out through muscle testing- he found infections I had tested positive for on blood work (like Lyme, Bartonella, etc.) but also found other viruses (like EBV), parasites, and other infections that I had probably acquired over the years, but had remained dormant until I got really sick and my immune system went haywire. He was able to remove these infections in one visit (although many infections had layers that came up again in future sessions.)
A few months ago, I started a new medication for mold and ended up in the ER a few hours later because I couldn’t breathe. I stopped the medication, but kept getting attacks where my throat felt swollen, my chest felt tight, and it was hard to breathe. If I tried to take a deep breath, I would start coughing. I went to several doctors and specialists who weren’t sure what was going on, and I was about to go through more testing to see if they could figure it out. Luckily I had an appointment with Dr. Garcia that week and through his knowledge and muscle testing he was able to figure out in less than a minute what went on- the medication had triggered the fungal infections that were in my lungs, which caused inflammation in my lungs and throat. He asked if it was worse when I was lying down, since that’s when the inflammation would affect me the most, and I realized all of the attacks I had were when I was lying down. After identifying the infections through muscle testing, he was able to neutralize the infections. A few days later, all of those symptoms were gone and never came back!
Immediately after an appointment I would always feel amazing- pain-free, energetic, and clear-headed, but then a couple of hours later I would herx (a herx is a detox reaction, where your symptoms get worse before they get better) which is normal as the infections are draining. I would feel exhausted and headachy and need to rest the remainder of the day and usually the day after. I usually made sure to detox even more than usual (activated charcoal, infrared sauna, coffee enema, detox baths, drinking tons of water)
My mom, who never believed in alternative therapies until I got sick and she saw how much they helped me, was so intrigued by biomagnetism that she took an online course and now puts magnets on everyone in our family if we are having any symptoms!
I think of healing from Lyme as a puzzle, and biomagnetism was definitely one of the pieces that helped me to heal (in addition to herbs, IV treatments, supplements, other alternative therapies, and emotional healing.)
