How To Navigate Lyme As An Empath

When I discovered I was an empath a couple of years ago, so many things made sense.

Like why I needed naps every day after middle school and high school, before I had health issues. Why I started crying hysterically on Valentine’s Day during my sophomore year of college but wasn’t consciously sad. Why I started crying the second I walked into a hospital waiting room.

How I Healed My Gut

Fifteen years ago I was diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) after a month of taking antibiotics for a bladder infection. My stomach hurt after every meal and I was experiencing daily gas and bloating. I had consistent constipation and diarrhea. I felt as if there was a rock in my stomach and my digestion wasn’t working. I was prescribed colon relaxers, but they did nothing.

How Energy Healing Helped me Heal

What I Learned During My Experience in the ER

I couldn't breathe. I started a new medication in the evening and a few hours later my throat swelled up. It was after 10pm and no walk-in clinics were open, so I decided to go to the ER.

I had to wait over an hour to be seen while I felt as if I was gasping for air. I was finally taken in and I was given an IV with steroids, Benadryl and a few other medications. My whole body started immediately convulsing violently, my teeth were chattering intensely, I felt paralyzed and couldn’t move any part of my body, and I got very lightheaded, dizzy and nauseous.
